Jerri, you are awesome! That's a great memory, and sounds like an amazing time. Closest thing I had to that was Christmas-time at my Aunt's house when we'd sit around her piano singing carols. Music feels a little different when it's happening right next you, and the air around you is actually alive with the vibrations from piano strings and voices.

My earliest and happiest moments of my childhood were watching and listening to my Dad play on our upright piano in the dining room. I remember everyone (or it seemed like it) coming over and drinking and dancing. I also remember my Grampa playing harmonica in the background on the back porch. Big Band tunes, swing, and some blues. I have a particular love for blues. With blues you can feel the music and can't sit still. Thanks Dad, thanks Grampa, Thanks Louie, and thanks Mike for sharing a God given talent that lights up an ordinary day in an ordinary life and CHANGES the world if only for a moment.

That's a good one too. The chorus of that song is amazing for it's elegance. Wild horses couldn't drag me away. What a great way to say that. Forget regular horses, not even the Wild ones can do it!

Totally. Pink Floyd has a lot of 'em too. I've always been moved by, "I turned to look, but it was gone. I cannot put my finger on it now, the child is grown, the dream is gone."
